About Our Herd
We specialize in llamas with new, outstanding Bolivian genetics. Our breeding herd is a small, select group of llamas imported in 1996 and 1991 and their prize winning offspring.
Our goals are to produce crias with the wonderful, traditional characteristics of Bolivia's llamas as show animals and fine breeding stock. The gentle temperaments and magnificent beauty of our Bolivian llamas also make them ideal as pets and companion animals.
Our Bolivian llamas can be bred to nearly all other Bolivian llamas in the U.S., including llamas from the famous LW Willie K and LW Kissam lines. Our Bolivian llamas also produce outstanding outcrosses when bred to pure Chilean and Peruvian llamas and to the beautiful "North American" llamas.

About Our Herdsires
We own 3 of the 18 world-class males imported in the 1996 Tillman-Hacienda Acero Marka Bolivian importation, **Bolivia's La Paz , **Bolivian Lucky 500 and **Bolivia's Gringo Limon.
The 1996 Bolivian imports are an outstanding group of llamas selected both for conformation and fiber quality. They had the lowest average micron count of any importation.
The 1996 importation has already produced several champions including our own Grand Champions, Bolivia's Llilli Yok , Bolivia's Illimani, Bolivia's Brianna and our Reserve Grand Champions, LW Nabisco and Arturo. They also produced the 1st ALSA Grand National Reserve Grand Champion Heavy Wool Male, the spectacular yearling Bolivian Innovation, bred and owned by Pleasant View Farm .
We are also the proud co-owners of four-time Grand Champion Padrino ( an outstanding 1991 import and Eastern Regional Grand Champion) with Rose Cottage Llamas and The Colorfield.
Our 3 junior herdsires bring additional 1996 import lines to our herd and also other famous and soon to be famous Bolivian lines. They are: Reserve Grand Champion and ROM winner Bolivian Tinkubamba (*Bolivian Cochabamba X *Bolivian Flying Colors), LW T. S. Eliot (**Bolivian Red X **Bolivian Tangerine Sherbet), and Reserve Grand Champion LW Nabisco (*Bolivian Macho de Las Montanas X **Bolivian Natara) - also co-owned with Field of Dreams Llamas.

About Our Females and Babies
Our female herd includes 15% of the select dams from the 1996 Tillman-Hacienda Acero Marka Bolivian importation.
We also have outstanding dams from the 1991 Bolivian importation, and the prize winning offspring out of our '96 and ''91 imports. Our female herd includes offspring from 3 additional males in the 1996 importation, **Bolivia's Santa Cruz, **Bolivia's Jeffe, and **Bolivian Red.
Our current sale animals include prize-winning yearlings and crias out of our 1996 and 1991 imported dams, sired by four of the 1996 import males (**Bolivia's La Paz, **Bolivian Lucky 500, and LW TS Eliot) and offspring of our 1991 import dams sired by 1991 imports (*Cochabamba, *Topaz and Hot Shot).

About Our Show Record in Conformation
Our Bolivian breeding stock excel in conformation, consistently winning one of the top four ribbons in their respective halter (conformation) classes at major ALSA shows.
This quality in our breeding herd is reflected also in the fact that 80% of our crias are Grand or Reserve Champions or 1st place winners in halter in top-twenty ALSA shows, qualifying for the ALSA Regional Championship Shows and the Grand National Show.
Of course, no matter how good one's breeding program is, not all babies will be Grand Champions, and we occasionally have healthy, beautiful, well-bred and well-cared for pet-quality llamas for people who just love gorgeous llamas and for spinners and other fiber artists who love exquisite fiber. So be sure to check with us about our pet-quality llamas, if you are looking for beautiful, good-tempered llamas as pets.

About Our Llama's Fleece
In addition to conformation, we select for beautiful fleece in our breeding program. Our llamas have award-winning, single-coat, low micron count, premium-plus or suri-type fleeces.
Bolivia's La Paz has especially beautiful suri-type fleece (21.8 microns at 2 years) that combines luster, curliness and silkiness. His fleece won the Grand Champion ribbon at the 1997 Midwest Challenge ALSA Show and Futurity and he throws this fleece to his babies.
Bolivian Lucky 500 at 8 years old, still has a 19.1 micron count fleece with a standard deviation of only 5.2. His fleece is classed as premium-plus and is probably too fine to suri, but he has thrown suri babies!
**Bolivia's Gringo Limon also has a suri-type 19.6 micron count fleece and he also produces babies with spectacular fleeces.
Our dams also have proven show quality fleeces. Even our core stock of 1996 and 1991 imported dams - who were all over 7 yrs old in 1997 - won the 3rd, 5th and 6th place in fleece at the 1997 Indiana State Fair ALSA Show (from among 97 entries).
Not to be out done by "mom", at the 1998 Indiana State Fair - our juvenile male conformation Reserve Grand Champion - Bolivian Tinkubamba - also received the Reserve Grand Champion award in Fleece.
